Kevin Richardson - President
Kevin L. Slater Richardsonis an original resident in the neighborhood. He currently serves as the presidentof the GAB Board of Directors.
Kevin holds a BA in Hospitality Management and has worked in the field for 20 Years. In 2006, he became the first African-American licensed by Conferon (Experient) as a Conference Broker. As a leader in the hospitality industry, Kevin is a highly sought out conference broker and speaker who manages more than 42 conferences and meetings annually with a client portfolio of over 200K annually. One of his hallmark events was serving on the national planning committee as Hospitality Director for the 50th anniversary of the March on Washington.
As president of the GAB Board, Kevin has worked to create an open door environment to have one-on-one conversations to resolve neighborhood issues. He believes that if something impacts one of us, it impacts all of us. He leads collaboratively and encourages other board members and neighbors to use their talents to serve the community as a whole. He spends approximately 40 hours or more a month consulting with CMA and legal, negotiating with contractors, and handling neighborhood issues on behalf of GAB.
In his spare time, Kevin sits on several advisory boards and committees dealing with the advancement of diversity in the Hospitality industry. In 2015, he started a network of conference and meeting suppliers that specialize in servicing multicultural national organizations.
Ryan Lebo - Vice President
Ryan Lebo is a 14-year resident in the Gates at Bouldercrest neighborhood. He is currently the GAB Board Vice President for the past 5 years, and 1 previous year shortly after joining the community. Ryan has also previously held the position of GAB Board President for 7 years.
Ryan has attended several UOA training and informational sessions. He also assists in frequent mailbox and Gate repairs, and property inspections, spending about 2-4 hours a week helping to keep the community looking good and addressing issues with neighbors. Some of the highlights during his tenure so far are the mailbox replacement project, the Trees Atlanta Project where over 100+ new trees were planted throughout the community, and multiple drainage projects to improve water runoff issues.
Ryan has worked in the Aviation industry for 20 years as a mechanical/electrical test engineer. He has managed several process improvement projects, and coordinated with suppliers and vendors to procure equipment and services throughout his career.
A graduate of Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University, Ryan has a Bachelor of Science in Aerospace Engineering.
In addition to volunteering for the GAB Board, Ryan enjoys watching movies, cooking and trying new recipes, exploring local (and nearby states) hiking trails, riding bike, and other outdoor activities such as landscaping, as well as traveling with family and friends.
Teri Elam - Secretary
Teri Elam is a 14-year resident in the neighborhood. She is currently the Board secretary.
Teri is a Human Resources (HR) professional with various certifications. A graduate of Tuskegee University, she also has an M.Ed. from University of Georgia and will graduate with an MFA in Creative Writing from the University of Southern Maine in in 2019.
A Cave Canem Poetry Fellow, Teri’s work is published in various journals and anthologies. She has volunteered in the arts field working with creative writing workshops in several cities including Atlanta, San Francisco, Columbia, SC, and Augusta, GA.
Teri’s goal on the board is to support the development and implementation of ideas that enhance and streamline communication processes, etc. In addition to volunteering for the GAB Board, Teri is the Poetry Editor for the Stonecoast Review Literary Journal and a co-Editor for a forthcoming poetry anthology scheduled for publication in early 2019.
Jamarr Comer - Treasurer
Ja’Marr Comeris a 7-year resident in the Gates at Bouldercrest Neighborhood. He currently serves as the GAB treasurer.
Ja’Marr holds a BBA in Marketing and a MBA in Finance and has worked in the Finance field for 14 Years. During his time on the GAB board (since 2012) his most notable accomplishment is bringing the community reserve funds from $32,459.28 to $222,064.09. His main goal as treasure is to ensure that current UOA dues remain at the current level while helping to meet the financial needs of the community.
Tory Tucker - Architectural
Tory S. Tuckeris an 8-year resident in the Gates at Bouldercrest neighborhood. He is currently the chair of the Architectural Committee and Resident Licensed Real Estate Broker.
As an experienced Real Estate Broker, he brings the knowledge, insight and skills that will deliver the results that will continue to increase our home values and growth of this community. Tory’s integrity and loyalty in the real-estate industry has brought him continuous success with 95% of his business being referrals. Aside from having a demanding real-estate career, Tory finds time to give back by volunteering time with Homeless Shelters and Community Youth Programs.
A graduate of NW Missouri State University with a degree in Business/Marketing, Tory has over 30 years in the Insurance Industry with a Career as an Insurance Analyst. During his Insurance Career he has serve as a Catastrophe Management expert, General Liability Specialist, Commercial and Home Owner’s Insurance Specialist. In addition to volunteering for GAB Board, Tory loves participating with the development of the careers of young people by being an active Mentor and a volunteer Big Brother with the Big Brothers/Big Sister Program of Greater Atlanta.
The Board of Directors meets every 2nd Wednesday of the month at McNair HS. Once each quarter (March, June, September), the meetings are held at the Neighborhood Gazebo in a Town Hall session format to communicate and discuss issues with the community. The neighborhood annual meeting is held in December at McNair HS Cafeteria. Meetings are held from 7:00 - 8:30 PM. Residents are welcome and encouraged to attend and participate in the open dialog portion of each meeting.
